Restaurants across the UAE have withdrawn service charges, abiding by the directive issued by the Ministry of Economy in December that the practice of imposing a service charge on food bills is illegal. Authorities had given outlets a month's grace period to comply, which ends on Wednesday. I wish they'd do that here, I hate service charge!
ReplyDeleteBy the way I once asked a waiter and he told me that the waiters never get that service charge money and all of it goes to the restaurant.
Anonymous, i hate it even more ;s what i really hate is when they give your change back, he hands you coins, and their worth 1 KD, an indirect way of saying " TIP ME MAN " ;P
