Dalal was killed by Jakatia Pawa, a Filipino, she stabbed Dalal 12 times, and that was taken on May 14, 2007, Jakatia was sentenced to death in April 2008 by the Kuwaiti Criminal Court for allegedly , and the verdict was upheld by the Court of Appeals in April last year. The family was reacting to news that President Gloria Arroyo had sent Vice President Manuel "Noli" de Castro Jr. to Kuwait to appeal for the life of Jakatia Pawa.
